Tarah Powell-Chen


Ms. Powell-Chen is an Associate at Murphy, Pearson, Bradley & Feeney in their San Francisco office where she represents individuals and corporate clients with matters involving professional liability, commercial and business litigation, real estate, and employment law.


  • Prior to attending law school Ms. Powell-Chen worked for the Supreme Court of the United States as a Marshal's Aide. This experience shaped her understanding of the judicial process and inspired her to become an advocate.
  • Ms. Powell-Chen graduated from the University of San Francisco, School of Law. While in law school, she gained varied legal experience by working in public-interest, civil litigation, and as a judicial extern. Ms. Powell-Chen was active in extracurricular activities while at USF. In additional to her leadership roles in various student organizations, Ms. Powell-Chen also served as a tutor in subjects including: Criminal Law, Contracts, Torts, and the CA Bar.

Ms. Powell-Chen is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF), and the Asian American Bar Association (AABA).
