Tarah Powell-Chen

Ms. Powell-Chen is an Associate at Murphy, Pearson, Bradley & Feeney in their San Francisco office where she represents individuals and corporate clients with matters involving professional liability, commercial and business litigation, real estate, employment law and data privacy issues. She also serves as general counsel to various California businesses and law firms, providing advice and counsel on data privacy compliance, regulatory issues, and general contract review.

Highlights

  • Prior to attending law school Ms. Powell-Chen worked for the Supreme Court of the United States as a Marshal's Aide. This experience shaped her understanding of the judicial process and inspired her to become an advocate.
  • Ms. Powell-Chen graduated from the University of San Francisco, School of Law. While in law school, she gained varied legal experience by working in public-interest, civil litigation, and as a judicial extern. Ms. Powell-Chen was active in extracurricular activities while at USF. In additional to her leadership roles in various student organizations, Ms. Powell-Chen also served as a tutor in subjects including: Criminal Law, Contracts, Torts, and the CA Bar.
