Kerri L. Ruzicka
Senior Associate
Ms. Ruzicka is a senior associate in the firm's Sacramento office. She practices in state and federal court, with an emphasis in labor and employment law, where she advises employers on state and federal discrimination, wage and hour and wrongful termination claims. She also practices in the area of professional liability defending professionals such as appraisers, attorneys, and real estate professionals.
Professional Contributions
Ms. Ruzicka has been a speaker and co-author on employment-related issues for the Sacramento Area Human Resources Association, including the March 2008 seminar entitled "Workplace Investigations" and October 2008 seminar entitled California Leaves of Absence.
Ms. Ruzicka serves on the board of the Sacramento Area Human Resource Administrators as chair of the Legal and Legislative Team and is also a regular contributor to their monthly publication where she recently co-authored Individual Supervisor Cannot Be Held Personally Liable For Retaliation Under FEHA.
Ms. Ruzicka is a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association and the California State Bar Labor and Employment Sections. She is also a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Society of Human Resource Managers.
