On May 9, 2013 the Association of Professional Women hosted Lessons in Rainmaking. We often look at the work on our desk as tasks to complete for the team leader instead of thinking of the over-arching goals for the client, the firm and our own professional development. Lessons in Rainmaking was a lively discussion of moving beyond the desk and learning tools for a successful path to the executive table.
We put together a panel of four successful business women in leadership roles in different industries who discussed critical thinking and networking behaviors in and out of the office. These women also shared some of the steps they have taken to further their careers and become leaders in their industry.
The program was followed by a cocktail hour with all panelists to network as well as continue the conversation.
