Murphy Pearson Bradley & Feeney recently had the opportunity to host San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee and the San Francisco Police Commission to conduct confidential interviews for San Francisco Police Chief. Current President of the Police Commission and MPBF Shareholder Tip Mazzucco congratulates the new police chief, Captain Greg Suhr on his appointment. Legal Assistant Tanya Hill was recognized in her role in facilitating the interview process.
Michael Bradley, Managing Director of Murphy, Pearson, Bradley & Feeney received the Jane O’Toole Award for Outstanding Community Service from Stepping Stone, The San Francisco Women’s Rehabilitation Foundation. Giving Back to the Community
Shareholder Tom D’Amato is vice-chair of the Young Lawyers Committee Public Service Project for the Defense Research Institute, an international organization. The DRI Young Lawyers Committee continues its tradition of community service by spending an afternoon with the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas. Click here for more information
In the Courtroom
Associate Tanis Leuthold is a volunteer mock trial coach at San Francisco’s Lowell High School which competed in a regional mock trial competition this year. The team came in third place and were only one point behind the second place team. Ms. Leuthold reports that “Our team did an excellent job and we received much praise from the Honorable Marla Miller and Honorable William Begert as well as the other attorney judges.” At the recent award ceremony, the team took home more awards than any other team, including awards for Best Prosecution Pre-Trial Attorney, Best Prosecution Witness, Best Defense Pre-Trial Attorney, Best Defense Attorney and Best Defense Witness as well as a Barrister Award.
Today’s Children, Africa’s Future
Murphy Pearson Bradley & Feeney has partnered with Today’s Children, Africa’s Future, an international charitable organization based in California. TCAF works primarily with children in Northern Uganda where a 22-year war has ravaged the country and human rights are abused every day. Click here for more information
